The Basotho people are people through whom I will be blessed to invest in. Their hearts beat as mine does and the collectivistic culture of South Africa is something I want so badly to be a part of. Like them, I am passionate about relationship and community and eager to walk alongside my brothers and sisters. I want to share in that sense of belonging and togetherness as I love and minister to them. I want my heart for people and God to grow through my participation in Twenty4Seven and like the people of South Africa I want to find my identity in the community to which I belong: the body of Christ. The ministry of Thrive Africa is focused on the Basotho tribe living in Intabazwe and Qwa Qwa, rural township areas surrounding the town of Harrismith. Home to over 1 million people, this region has been declared the poorest area of the country: 88% are unemployed and 75% experience chronic hunger. They are peaceful and laid-back people; they are warm, friendly, and welcoming, favouring hospitality and relationships above everything else.
I know You're with me, I know.
